Today marks the release of FIA European Truck Racing Championship, the official racing simulation of the ETRC, across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version to follow on August 5.
FIA European Truck Racing Championship will task players to get behind the wheel of 1000+ bhp racing trucks. The game boasts 45 racing trucks (from 20 official teams) from household names such as Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, and more. Players will race across the globe stopping off at some of the world’s most prestigious racing circuits including Laguna Seca, Circuit of the Americas, and Fuji Speedway.
You can watch today’s launch trailer below to get a good idea of what to expect.
If keeping a 5-tonne racing truck in check wasn’t challenging enough already, players will also need to get to grips with the management of brake temperatures and water cooling, as well as wet weather and nighttime racing. Furthermore, players will need to avoid running off the track and hitting bollards if they want to escape any time penalties.
We recently got hands-on with the title where we took to the track to compete in a couple of races at different times of day and weather conditions to give you a good idea of what the game has to offer. You can view our preview for FIA European Truck Racing Championship below.
