News Rocket League’s free ice hockey mode goes live

Rocket League players on the PlayStation 4 and PC get now really get into the festive spirit with the release of the “Winter Games Event” which includes a new ice hockey themed mode.
Entitled “Snow Day” the new playlist mutator covers the ground in thick ice and the ball is now substituted with an ice hockey puck to complete the ice hockey theme. Sadly this new Snow Day mutator replaces the Mutator Mashup playlist which is a shame. Additionally, the Winter Games Event adds new garage items to game which have a Christmas theme. You can see the full list of new garage items below which are available up until January 4 (as always once new garage items are unlocked they're yours forever).
- "Xmas" Rocket Trail
- "Blitzen" Topper
- "Christmas Tree" Topper
- "Sad Sapling" Topper
- "Santa" Topper
- "Candy Cane" Antenna
- "Holiday Gift" Antenna
Rocket League developer Psyonix recently confirmed that their “soccar” title would be coming to the Xbox One console. The Xbox One version of the game comes with Gears of War and Halo inspired vehicles and no doubt the game will have lots of other Xbox One game themed garage items in the future too.
