At the Game Awards, which took place yesterday, Psyonix officially announced that Rocket League will be boosting its way over to the Xbox One.

Hardly the surprise of the year but it's nice to finally hear it officially announced nonetheless. According to the newly released trailer (seen below), Rocket League will launch on the Xbox One in February 2016 and will supposedly include three content packs – Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars and the most recently released Chaos Run.

The Xbox One version of the game comes with Gears of War and Halo inspired vehicles and the game will no doubt come with a plethora of other Xbox One game themed garage items in due course. Check out the trailer below.

An amazing addition would be cross play support so that Playstation 4 and Xbox One owners could settle their differences on the playing field. Seeing as there is already PC vs Playstation 4 cross play it would be quite the feature to add if possible.

Rocket League managed to scoop two of the three awards it was nominated for at the Game Awards, winning best independent game and best sports/racing game. Let us know if you're excited to try Rocket League finally on the Xbox One console.
