News F1 2012 Developer Diary confirms release date

As is traditional with Codemasters' F1 series, we had a hunch that F1 2012 would be granted a September release. Thanks to a new developer diary video, however, we can now confirm the exact date that F1 2012 will be roaring off the line: mark your racing calendars for September 21st.
Following on from the recent unveiling of F1 2012's Champions mode, the developer diary also provides an iniight into the Young Driver Test, which acts as F1 2012's tutorial for novice drivers, the more nuanced controls for pad owners and Hot Laps, a new set of circuit tutorial videos narrated by ex Formula One driver Anthony Davidson.
All in all, in Creative Director Stephen Hood's words, F1 2012 aims to provide "a more complete Formula One experience," and it's now only a matter of weeks until we find out if Codemasters stay true to that promise.
We're expecting to learn more about F1 2012 during next week's Gamescom press conferences, so stay tuned.
