Milestone has announced a deluxe version of Ride to be released exclusively on Steam, packing in a host of extras.
Along with the game itself, the deluxe version will contain a digital copy of "Why We Ride" directed by Brian H. Carroll, with Kenny Roberts, Ten Simon, Mert Lawwill, Troy Lee and Melisa Paris, a documentary film that "captures the passion of motorcycle riding, and shows the camaraderie of friends and families who ride together. As told by many racers, riders, and pioneers of the sport, and their relatives, the story weaves its way through generations of motorcyclists who live each day to the fullest on their bikes."
You'll also get a Ride season pass entitling you to all forthcoming Ride DLC. Milestone have confirmed that at least four add-on packs are scheduled for Ride, including the Yamaha DLC that will be bundled with pre-orders, which will add at least 15 new motorcycles ranging from 1998 – 2004.
Also included is a making-of booklet that takes you behind the scenes and delves into the process of making Milestone's first IP, from the creation of the tracks, bikes and rider customisation, to the development of the physics and the history of each of the 14 manufacturers.
Finally, you'll also be able to download Ride's official soundtrack, comprising of 14 licensed tracks. Let's hope it's not a selection of cheesy guitar riffs straight from the '90s like the ones used in the various game trailers.
You can preorder the Ride deluxe version on Steam, where it will be unleashed on March 27th.
