BigBen has released a new gameplay video which gives us an overview of the newly revamped career mode for WRC 8.
It’s fair to say the career modes in WRC 5, WRC 6, and WRC 7 were very similar and in need of a refresh. Thankfully the new career mode in WRC 8 is radically different and actually allows players to manage a rally team for the first time under the reigns of French development studio Kylotonn.
This means you’ll be planning your week via the calendar system where you can decide which events to complete in between rallies; managing a team who specialise in six different areas; as well as upgrading the crew through R&D and a fairly beefy skill tree.
Every decision you make will have some impact and knock-on effect on you and your team’s progression. To aid you, statistics are available at the end of each rally allowing you to make any refinements to make your team as efficient as possible.
You can view the career overview from BigBen in the video below. WRC 8 will release across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch this September.
