We were only saying a few days ago how Assetto Corsa is in need of some gameplay footage, and low and behold our wish has been granted. Thanks to a visit to Kunos Simulazioni from the Radiator Springs racing team, we finally have a glimpse of what Assetto Corsa will look like in motion from some off=camera gameplay footage showcasing a P4/5 Competitizione at Imola and the Lotus 49 at Monza:
User Andrea Lojelo from the Radiator Springs forum described his first-hand experience with Assetto Corsa: “It looks gorgeous, and feels fantastic on the wheel. The laser scanning gives you a very nice feeling while driving… You all know how good is the force feedback on netKar PRO. You will be shocked by AC! The car feels really natural. Easy to understand what’s happing all the time. Even in a fast corner you continuously feel your wheel reacting to the little bumps on the track. It just feels damn right!”
Additional gameplay have since come to light videos showcasing the aforementioned BMW Series 1 M Coupe and Tatuus FA01, along with a brief off-camera video from AutoSimSport’s Jon Denton:
Certainly sounds like one to watch this year. Did Assetto Corsa live up to your expectations after finally seeing it in action? Let us know your thoughts below, or you can comment on our Facebook page.
