News concerning Kunos Simulazioni's upcoming PC racing sim Assetto Corsa has been sparse as of late, but details surrounding the car list are slowly starting to emerge.
BMW are the latest manufacturer to sign up, although so far only the BMW Series 1 M Coupe has been confirmed in a slew of new screenshots shown in our gallery below. Several BMW race cars are said to be included in the future, however.
Kunos Simulazioni were keen to include BMW from an early stage "because their cars have exemplary balance and handling" and are "the perfect vehicles to demonstrate the quality of our new simulation technology."
While the car models look good but not mind-blowing at this stage of development, the detail on the dashboards showcase Asseto Corsa's potential graphical prowess in glorious DirectX 11. Don't forget Assetto Corsa will be moddable too, so expect the community to condure up some insanely detailed car models.
It's a shame the developers are being so tight lipped over Assetto Corsa – only a handful of cars have been announced thus far, along with licenses for Magione, Monza, Imola and Silverstone. Hopefully some gameplay videos of Assetto Corsa in action won't be too long in coming.
