Today marks the worldwide release of Playground Games’ open-world racer Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox One and PC, some four days after the Ultimate Edition.
The forth Horizon title (and eleventh Forza title) is set in a fictionalised version of Great Britain (not Japan as the initial rumors indicated) and features all four seasons (which change on a weekly basis) each bringing a host of different weather conditions and challenges with them.
As found in Test Drive Unlimited 2, players can buy various properties across the map, and because you are inhabiting each other’s worlds, you’ll see other players live as they drive across the fictionalised expanse. This is supported with a new quick chat system so players can interact and communicate with each other.
The open-world racer contains over 450 cars from over 100 different manufacturers at launch, headlined by the McLaren Senna cover car (which makes its racing game debut).
You can view the official launch trailer below.
Players can also look forward to the upcoming Route Creator tool which allows you to drive the route they wish to make. There’s also the ability to add drifting suspension to cars now which should please a lot of drifting fans.We are currently working on our review so check back soon for that, let us know in the comments how you’ve found Forza Horizon 4 so far.
