Indie developer Zordix have released their Wave Race inspired water racer Aqua Moto Racing Utopia on Steam Early Access for the price point of £14.99. The price is due to rise 33% once the full title launches on Steam.
The Early Access version of Aqua Moto Racing Utopia contains all the tracks and modes as will be found in the finished title including a “rudimentary” online mode. The main difference between the Early Access version versus the full title is the difficulty found within the single player mode, along with some changes to gameplay and tracks, more online settings and possibly modes, and we may just see some new ideas added here and there too.
Aqua Moto Racing Utopia boasts 50 tracks, split screen co-op for up to 4 players, both first and third person views and it runs at a smooth 60 fps and at 1080p resolution. The single player experience will be split into two segments, one each for the runabout and jet ski vehicles. Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is very much an arcade racer and will reward you with speed boosts for completing tricks off ramps, also don't forget about those handy shortcuts along the way.
Currently Zordix plans to release the full title some time this Summer for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Wii U platforms.
