The latest patch for Gran Turismo 6 has now been released, adding plenty of additional content to the PS3-exclusive racing game.
Upon installing Gran Turismo 6 V1.14, players will be able to access a new online game type. Dubbed 'Community', it allows users to set up and manage their own clubs, as well as organise races against fellow club members in dedicated online lobbies.
It's also possible to manage the club through the official Gran Turismo website, though – for obvious reasons – it won't be possible to compete in club events through the web browser.
The patch also brings the latest Vision Gran Turismo creation to the game: Subaru's VIZIV GT, a fictional racing car that features (among other things) a 590 horsepower turbocharged 'Boxer' engine, aggressive track-focused aerodynamics and lights in the wheel arches that flash to indicate which wheel the torque vectoring system is sending power to.
As with previous VGT cars, players can acquire the Subaru VIZIV GT in the game by purchasing it with in-game credits from the 'Vision Gran Turismo' section in the main menu, or as a free prize for setting a lap time in the commemorative Seasonal Event challenge.
Other content additions include a revised Suzuka Circuit, a new 'Sierra Time Rally' event, the ability to import telemetry data from the Nissan GT-R Nismo into Gran Turismo 6's 'Data Logger' functionality and the BMW M4 M Performance Edition safety car.
A full list of all the major features in Gran Turismo 6 V1.14 can be found below:
It is also possible to access a web browser version of the Community feature via the official website. Though you will not be able to race from the browser version, you can create clubs and events, edit their settings and have the same communication tools available in game. The website version is also compatible with some smartphone browsers, allowing you to access your Clubs on the go!
