After an extended quiet period, developer Nadeo have announced that Trackmania Turbo will release on March 25 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
Trackmania Turbo is probably best described as an easy to pick up and hard to master arcade racer which is focused on shaving of tenths of seconds in the hunt for that perfect lap. The racer features over 200 tracks set in four environments: Rollercoaster Lagoon, International Stadium, Canyon Grand Drift and Valley Down & Dirty, each will require a different drving style to master.
Among Trackmania Turbo's various game modes is the Double Driver mode where you can pair up with a friend (or stranger) to control one car. The inputs from both players will decide the action of the car, if one player goes left and the other goes right the car will simply stay straight and so you need to sync your movements to control the car effectively. You can play Double Driver throughout the campaign as well as in arcade mode.
Another highlight of Trackmania Turbo is the addition of a track builder, we were actually lucky enough to get a good look at this feature at last year's Gamescom, see below. The track generator can potentially add an infinite number of new tracks to the game should you feel the need to create or play any more over the already included 200 plus.
Trackmania Turbo was originally due to release on November 27 last year, but will now release some four months later on March 25 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms, let us know in the comments if you're looking forward to playing Trackmania Turbo.
