DriveClub PS+ Edition players who upgrade to the full version of the game will now be able to keep the game indefinitely, Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed.
Responding to the original backlash against the requirement of an active PlayStation Plus membership in order to play the fully upgraded PS+ version of DriveClub, Sony has now gone on the record to say its "prior plan for DriveClub entitlement" was "not appropriate"
Now, all players will be able to upgrade the free PS+ Edition of the game, and,,,have access to the full game even if your PlayStation Plus subscription runs out".
As detailed in last week's announcement, DriveClub PS+ Edition will launch alongside the full digital and boxed versions of the game later this year in November, with limited overall content but access to all of the game's game modes. Players will be able to upgrade to the full game by paying £42.99, saving UK buyers a 10% discount over the full DriveClub release.
