Developer Vector Unit have announced that they are developing another water-based racer in their Riptide series. This newest entry, entitled Riptide GP: Renegade is due to arrive on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and mobile platforms in early 2016.
Riptide GP: Renegade has been designed from the ground up for the current generation consoles and features the latest in dynamic water physics not to mention spray and splash effects. The game boasts vast interactive race environments which include interactive elements, animated obstacles and cheeky shortcuts.
Take a look at the trailer below.
Riptide GP: Renegade features a “deep career mode” with a variety of race types and you’ll be going up against the game’s bosses as you progress to reach the top of the underground hydro jet racing circuit. Winning races will earn you experience points and cash, the latter allowing you to upgrade and customise your hydro jet.
You’ll be able to do battle in the game’s online and split screen multiplayer modes all while the game runs at a smooth 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution on both consoles. Riptide GP: Renegade is currently scheduled to launch for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and mobile platforms in Spring, 2016.
Vector Unit have also released several screenshots which can be seen in the gallery below. Let us know if you are excited to get your hands on the water-based racer and which water racers have you enjoyed in the past.
