News Ride 4 coming in 2020 with a special collaboration with Yamaha

Milestone has today released a teaser trailer for Ride 4, the latest entry into the Italian Studios’ two-wheel franchise, confirmed for a 2020 release.

RIDE 4 aims to be the “definitive sandbox” for all bike lovers boasting a more realistic and accurate simulation of two-wheeled racing than we’ve seen previously in the series.

The inaugural Ride title released back in 2015 and quickly established itself as the “Gran Turismo of bikes games” with its impressive roster of tracks and bikes. The series has amassed over 1.5 million players who have together purchased 53 million bikes and raced more than 238 million competitions which equate to more than 233 billion kilometres which the developer assures us is 780 trips to the sun and back (we’ll take your word for it).

If the news of Ride 4 weren’t enough to get your automotive juices flowing, Milestone has today also announced a special collaboration with Yamaha Motors which is said to be a “tribute to digital and real-world passion for two-wheels“. We’ll find out what this means soon, however, Milestone has revealed the partnership will include both digital and in-store activations with “exciting activities for their communities“.

We are big fans of the Ride series here at Team VVV, we recognised the solid foundations set by the original game and enjoyed the sequel immensely. Sadly, we though the third entry didn’t quite build upon the second and felt it has lost some of its identity with the exclusion of several of its original tracks.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Ride 4 can continue to push the series in a forward direction, we’ll have more on the title soon.
