We've known for some time that the title will be racing on to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles at some point this year. However what we didn't expect is that developer 34BigThings have paired up with publisher 505 Games to release a boxed retail version of the game for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The retail announcement comes with an obligatory trailer (seen below).
Sadly the trailer does not give us a release date or indeed any window and just goes with the generic “coming soon” date, check it out below.
Redout features a career mode packed with 93 racing events with a total of 25 different tracks across 5 locations. The racer includes 10 event types: Race, Pure Race, Time Attack, Pure Time Attack, Speed, Instagib, Survival, Score Based Endurance, Last Man Standing, Arena Race.
Players can choose between a choice of 6 racing teams, each with a different driving approach, which compete across 4 increasingly fast racing classes. You'll have 12 power ups at your disposal including additional turbo, shields, self-repair drone, advanced grip system, slipstream enhancers, and more.
Ships can be customised with engine, magnets, structure and energy all upgradable and the title features online multiplayer for up to 12 players.
We'll have more on Redout in the coming months.
