EA has released a new trailer for Need for Speed: Rivals, shedding some more light on the gameplay mechanics of the upcoming arcade racer.
Though mostly focusing on cinematic shots of slidey-slidey action and OTT collision effects a la Michael Bay style, the trailer does showcase at moments what appears to be bonafide gameplay.
There are also brief glimpses of certain targets and requirements that – we assume – are part of the game's main progression system, and also perhaps intertwined with the franchise's online AutoLog feature.
Don't ask us who "Zephyr" is, or what it could be, though it's more than likely just constabulary jargon.
We can tell you, though, that we've got some more Need for Speed: Rivals content in the pipelines, headlined by an interview with the game's developers, so do keep checking back to the Team VVV website for the latest NFS coverage.
