Milestone has announced they are currently working on the sequel to Monster Energy Supercross -The Official Videogame.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2 features a renewed career mode, an enhanced track editor, improved playability, and expanded training, and is scheduled for release on February 8, 2019, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.

Take a look at the announcement trailer below.

Being fast on the track in Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2 is not enough, you’ll have to increase your fame and gain lots of fans to attract the biggest sponsors while managing your media relations and rivalries with other racers.

Milestone will continue to offer the player a plethora of customisation options thanks to more than 3,000 customisable items which cover the physical appearance of your rider as well as the ever-expanding list of accessories to wear during races. There are more than 300 customisable mechanical parts to customise your bike, and the Track Editor returns bigger and better than before with “a lot of new features”.

There are more than 80 official racers from the 2018 season including the likes of reigning 450SX Class champion, Jason Anderson, and Marvin Musquin and, for the first time making his appearance in the videogame, Eli Tomac.

All riders have been accurately captured using a renewed face scanning technology. Seventeen tracks will be available at launch, including the new NRG and Raymond James stadiums. We can expect all tracks to be introduced via a TV-style presentation complete with fireworks which help to capture the real sport.

Bike control is said to be more accurate and realistic (both on track and in air) thanks to the development team’s “Advanced Inertial Response” and “Real Terrain Collision” technologies. Finally, the new “Dynamic Flow Aid” helps players to always find the ideal trajectory to jump and land which should aid intermediate players and newcomers alike.

In the first release of the game, our main goal was to create an adrenaline-filled and fun gameplay able to fully transmit the excitement of a Supercross race,” said Irvin Zonca, Head of Game Design at Milestone. “With Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2, the gameplay experience doesn’t stop on the track, but it allows players to live 360 degrees of a pro racer’s career with training, interviews, promotional activities with sponsors, rivalries with other racers and much more.

We are excited for the second edition of Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2,” said Vicki Silver, Chief Marketing Officer for Feld Entertainment. “The Milestone partnership entered us into the video game business as part of an ambitious strategy to evolve both the sport and fandom of Supercross across the world. Expanding our digital footprint onto platforms where much of our audience is already spending their time, like gaming, allows our fans to dive into the highly immersive and realistic experience of the world’s most competitive and high-profile motorcycle championship.”

Im excited for the sequel. I still play the first one all the time. One thing that would be cool in the future is to have a legends feature, That would be really cool to be able to unlock legends like Bob “Hurricane Hannah, Rick Johnson, Jeff Ward, Damon Bradshaw, Jeff Emig. Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart and other legends of the sport. Also bring back the old tracks like one of my favs to watch when I was a kid was the old LA Colesium. Thanks for bringing out a sequel and keep them coming every year.
