Italien developer Milestone has announced Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 3 will release globally across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia, and Switch platforms on February 4, 2020.
Monster Energy Supercross 3 will feature the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross season complete with 100 riders across the 450SX and 250SX classes as well as 15 official stadiums and tracks.
For the first time in the series, you’ll be able to choose between a sponsor team or an official Supercross team (a feature we’ve seen in Milestone’s MXGP games). You’ll also finally have the chance to become the teammate of your favourite Supercross rider.
Monster Energy Supercross 3 has support for four-player co-op and features a “huge” free-roaming area with nine tracks replicating the Factory Supercross Practice Tracks in California.
You can also take the action online – which should be a lag-free experience thanks to the game’s dedicated servers – to create online tournaments through the Race Director Mode where you’ll decide player starting position, assign penalties, and choose which cameras to focus on. Online Multiplayer features Quick Race, Elimination, and Championship modes across its public and private lobbies.
Rider models have been made from scratch and come with a new set of animations, female riders also feature for the first time with their own physics and animations.
Tracks feature revised particle effects which are said to increase detail and realism. The physics have been overhauled according to Milestone, and a new in-air bike control system has been included which should improve bike handling during jumps.
The Track Editor also makes a return in Monster Energy Supercross 3 with newly added modules and stadium items.
