[UPDATE]Milestone has now confirmed there is no Gravel sequel planned right now and that the website suffered a technical issue, you can read the newly released statement from Milestone below.

Milestone wants to clarify that at the moment there’s no Gravel sequel in development or in our future plans. The message on the game website has been a technical problem we’ve already solved and we’re now investigating the cause.”

The original article follows.

Last year, Milestone released their newest racing IP Gravel. Gravel’s simplistic fun and fast-paced action gave us a real old-school vibe which we enjoyed immensely.

In our Gravel review, we praised its in-depth physics model, coupled with the impressive wheel support with superb force feedback which helped set a new standard in the arcade racing genre.

Thanks to a recent teaser, it looks as though we could be in for a Gravel sequel. Upon visiting the official Gravel site you’ll be met with a blank screen with the message “Get Ready… Something Really Cool Is Coming Soon” teasing a potential sequel is about to be announced. See for yourself below.

The thought of a sequel to Gravel is an exciting development as we were fans of Milestone’s last two car-based titles Gravel and Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo and it would be great to see more four-wheeled racing games released from Milestone who seem to have gravitated towards two-wheeled racers in recent years.

We do know that Milestone has plans to release three unannounced IPs in 2021 so there is certainly plenty to look forward to from the Italian development studio. We’ll bring you more on Milestone’s plans as soon as we know more.
