The development team at iRacing has teased some upcoming features for the PC racing simulation in a newly released video.
The video, which clocks in at just over the two-minute mark, showcases the forthcoming time attack mode which gives sim racers the chance to compete in a single car hotlapping competition. The real beauty of this is that you can jump into the action at your leisure rather than having to wait for a specific time window and you can also spend as long as you want racing thanks to the absence of any lap limits.
Also on display is the updated user interface, which, besides looking pretty and being user friendly, also adds some cool new features. One such feature adds up your times for multiple tracks to give you an overall time which is placed on the leader boards. Here you can see how you stack up against other racers with stats such as percentage rank, gap to player above, and gap to overall leader.
