Simbin Studios UK has recently hinted that we may have the release date for GTR 3 very soon.
Simbin stated that the release date for GTR 3 will be confirmed when discussions with their partners have been finalised. A follow-up statement last week confirmed the discussions were continuing. Once a release date is settled on, the announcement would be made instantly public.
The statement came alongside two new screenshots for the upcoming racer as seen below.
Post Gamescom, discussions are continuing with various partners. Once release date is agreed and confirmed, we WILL announce it immediately. We know you’re waiting and we hear you loud and clear – thanks for all the support! #simbinuk #gtr3 pic.twitter.com/sWXHYHGAhG

GTR 3 will make its way to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The title will not require an always-online connection to play, instead, you only need to be online if you want to race online with other players.
GTR 3 uses the Unreal 4 engine and will include a day to night transition as well as a fully dynamic weather system. Dynamic water movement will allow rain to pool organically on the racing track and dissipate as cars travel through it. The vehicle damage system is said to be a substantial improvement over RaceRoom’s current particle system and AI behaviour.
With Sector3 Studios and Simbin working under the same banner, some of the stronger features of the RaceRoom Racing Experience will make its way over to GTR 3. The development team have confirmed that the amazing audio in RaceRoom will transition over to GTR 3 thanks to sound engineer Anthony Monteil sharing his expertise across both teams during development.
It would be nice if the game releases in 2020. At least the FB and Twitter pages are being updated.
