It will feel like Christmas has come slightly early this year to those that were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Laguna Seca track for Gran Turismo Sport. The famous US track and seven new cars have been added today as part of the very latest free update for Gran Turismo Sport.

The WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca track race circuit is a technical track consisting of some very challenging mid- and low-speed turns. The desert landscape dictates the track’s elevation changes which are particularly evident at the 15-meter downhill ‘Corkscrew’ section.

Headlining the selection of seven new cars is undoubtedly the Ford GT ’17, that said the Porsche 911 Carrera RS Club Sport will sure to get pulses racing too. The Mark I Golf GTI also finally makes its appearance in Gran Turismo Sport along with three (!) safety cars complete with roof-mounted lights.

Elsewhere, seven new rounds for the ‘GT League’ campaign have been added as seen below.

  • Beginner League
    2 new rounds added to the ‘Z Heritage’.
  • Amateur League
    2 new rounds added to the ‘Super Formula Championships’.
  • Professional League
    2 new rounds added to the ‘Midship Challenge’.
  • Endurance League
    1 new round added to the ‘Gr.1 Prototype Endurance Series’.

Finally, ‘Laguna Seca- The Corkscrew!’ has been added to the Scapes special featured section, the track also makes it into the Circuit Experience mode allowing you to learn the various nuances of the famous track.
