Head of Polyphony and creator of Gran Turismo Kazunori Yamauchi has recently stated in an interview with Chinese media outlet Sina that Gran Turismo Sport is currently only “70% complete”.
This figure is somewhat alarming as the title has only a little over three months until release, and with games typically going gold about 3-4 weeks prior to the release day, this gives Polyphony just over two months to complete 30% of the work. Yamauchi has also said that improvements are happening on a daily basis so perhaps all of the game's core content is complete with the remaining 30% focusing on polishing and optimising the title, lets hope that is the case anyway.
Gran Turismo developer Polyphony has a less than stellar record when it comes to sticking with deadlines, the series has seen countless delays in recent years so this makes it all the more worrying to hear that as much as 30% of the game is still yet to be completed.
