Creative Director at Turn 10 Chris Esaki recently guested on the December edition of the Forza Monthly show and revealed some tantalising tidbits on the next instalment of the Forza Motorsport series.

Referred to as the “next experience” Esaki reveals that Turn 10 Studios hosted their very first studio-wide playtest for the upcoming racing title which the Creative Director refers to as “vastly a different and amazing experience“.

Esaki also revealed a number of improvements to the upcoming title what we can only assume will be called Forza Motorsport 8. According to Esaki, development on the newest Forza Motorsport title has been “a hard road to get to where we are today“.

The upcoming Forza Motorsport title will boast a new tyre model which simulates the way heat interacts with tyre pressure. Tracks will have surfaces with dynamic temperatures as well as dynamic “rubbering in” where more and more rubber from vehicle tyres stick to the track increasing surface grip over time.

There’s also a new atmosphere pressure system that affects vehicle aerodynamics, power and tyre pressure. That’s not all though, Esaki also mentioned an entirely new suspension system with new suspension modelling, he also mentioned he’s “missing about 15 other things” leaving us in no doubt to the extent of the changes made to the next iteration of Forza Motorsport which appears to be shifting its attention back to its simulation roots.

You can listen in on Chris Esaki on the latest Forza Monthly show in the video below starting at 54:39.
