In a surprising twist, developer R8 Games has today announced a re-branding of their futuristic racing title Formula Fusion (which was first revealed in 2015).
Now known as “Pacer”, the anti-gravity racer will benefit from new features and game modes and will see a re-release on PC as well as make its console debut sometime in 2019.
To celebrate the announcement, R8 Games has released a new trailer for Pacer which you can view below.
The futuristic anti-gravity racer contains an impressive array of 14 different tracks and five fully customisable crafts. The soundtrack may have a certain 90’s charm thanks to the addition of both original and licensed tracks from CoLD SToRAGE who you may remember from the WipEout series.
“The game has changed significantly with a ground up re-coding of the core gameplay systems and inclusion of a wealth of new content,” said Steve Iles, Senior Producer. “We’ve got some big plans for 2019 and we felt that we needed to reflect that with a name that more accurately captured the spirit of the game.”
