News F1 2020: Red Bull Ring showcased ahead of F1 season start

The Formula One season is finally underway as drivers have completed the very first practice session in Austria with Mercedes topping the rest, no surprises there then.
To celebrate the revised start to the season, Codemasters has released a new hot lap video of their upcoming Formula One title F1 2020 showcasing Austria’s Red Bull Ring, take a look below.
F1 2020 will release in just one week’s time – July 10, 2020, across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Steam (the title will also release on Google Stadia for the first time) – and Codemasters has kept up with tradition by recently unveiling their TV advert which you can view further below.
The biggest new feature in F1 2020 is its new game mode ‘My Team’ which allows players to create their Formula One team in the format of a driver-manager. Players start with a 2019 car adding sponsors and a livery before choosing a teammate who is ranked through Driver Rating scores. Driver rating cards break down the driver’s talents into Experience, Racecraft, Awareness and Pace attributes as well as an overall score and contract, salary and buyout costs.
The My Team and traditional Career modes feature three season length options ranging from the original full 22 race season to the shorter 10 and 16 race season options, which now includes Hanoi Circuit and Circuit Zandvoort. The two-player split-screen mode makes its return in F1 2020.
Fans who purchase the F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition will get to drive as Michael Schumacher in four of his most iconic cars. Players will also receive exclusive content including themed car liveries and driver customisation items, including a unique podium celebration. The four cars included in the F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition are as follows:
- 1991: Jordan 191
- 1994: Benetton B194
- 1995: Benetton B195
- 2000: Ferrari F1-2000
To celebrate the seventieth anniversary of Formula One, fans who pre-order or purchase the Schumacher Deluxe Edition or the ‘F1 2020: F1 Seventy Edition’ will receive an exclusive set of in-game items. A Limited Edition F1 2020 Steelbook will also be available in local markets via selected retailers.
