News Arena-based game show styled Smash Derby coming to PS4, PS Vita & Xbox One this year

Indie developer Fenix Fire recently announced their new futuristic arena-based game show title Smash Derby to the gaming world. It will make its way over to the Playstation 4, Xbox One and Playstation Vita later this year.
In Smash Derby you control a hovercraft with the goal of obliterating your opposition. Charging your booster will give you a massive burst of speed which you can use to smash into your foes sending them to their deaths. You'll also have access to mines, turrets and lasers to help you to destroy your competition, and to further amp up the action there's also arena hazards and traps to avoid.

As you can see from the trailer above the game takes place from a retro top-down perspective and plays like a high speed futuristic destruction derby all wrapped up with a game show style presentation hosted by over the top hosts. Smash Derby will feature single player arcade, survival and strategy modes along with competitive and co-op local multiplayer, deathmatch and team based modes.
