SCS Software have revealed that American Truck Simulator will release in both digital and physical form for the PC on February 3.
American Truck Simulator’s initial release will just be a bite-size version of the full appetizer to come with future updates. The version 1.0 base game will come with the state of California only with SCS working hard on bringing the rest of North America to the game in the future as part of their “grand vision”.
Perhaps SCS Software are better off calling their game “California Truck Simulator”? Continuing with the bite-size trend the game will only feature “a couple of trucks” for now as SCS work on obtaining new licenses to bring more real-world trucks to American Truck Simulator.
So those expecting a fully featured game on day one will be disappointed, you really have to think of the initial release as a starting point with lots more to come in the future. It’s unclear whether future content for American Truck Simulator will be free or whether you’ll need to part with your cash. We’ll keep you updated with more on American Truck Simulator as soon as we can.
