Bad news for Burnout fans as the developer, Criterion Games, recently told a fan, who asked if a burnout HD collection was in the works, that they are instead busy spending their time on “newer, even better things”

The full exchange went like this;

Fan – “what about the Burnout Collection bundle for PS4/Xbox One rumour I just started right then?”

Citerion Games – “Hah! You're not the first with that one. Nice idea but it's still not true. We've moved on to newer, even better things!“

Furthermore, Criterion Games have also recently confirmed that they have “no plans” to make a HD version of the excellent Burnout Paradise which was released back in 2008 (how time flies).

The “newer, even better things” mentioned by Criterion is no doubt their first-person extreme sports title which was first revealed during 2014's E3. Surprisingly we've heard no further news on the unnamed title which didn't make an appearance at this year's E3. So far we know the game will feature a plethora of different vehicles including ATV's, buggies, boats, helicopters, jet skies and more and you will be locked into the first-person perspective at all times. You can see some early prototype footage of the unnamed sports title in the video below.
