As Milestone prepare their comeback for the MotoGP series, information has been fleeting since its initial announcement. While some in-game screenshots have surfaced, they lacked one somewhat crucial factor in a MotoGP game: bikes. Instead, their purpose was to showcase the lovingly-detailed circuits which look sublime, but, since the models were presumably at an early stage of development, we were left wondering how the bikes would look in-game. Until now.
Well, not quite. There still aren't any in-game screenshots to showcase for now, but what we do have are some promising work-in-progress 3D model shots of a Yamaha bike. And in case you're wondering, yes the final version will sport the correct 2013 liveries, which still haven't been finalised at the time of writing.
WRC3's car models were notably improved thanks to the evolution of Spike Engine, and a similar attention to detail seems to have been applied to MotoGP '13's bikes. One close-up shot perfectly illustrates this, allowing you to see the intricacies of the mechanics in minute detail. Impressed, we are.
Hopefully, then, MotoGP '13 will live up to, and perhaps improve upon, the graphical benchmark set by WRC3, but we'll have to wait and see how it translates in-game when the lighting effects are in place to give the models a more realistic sheen and let the reflections work their magic. With the current release slated for June, however, we shouldn't have too long to wait until we can gain more insight from fothcoming official screenshots and videos.
very nice. i hope they´ll do so such a good job, as they did in in WRC3!alan, will you report, post videos & content as much as you did in WRC?
looks like the guys at milestone are very VVV-friendly!
Apparently the beta is locked at 30 fps on PC. I really hope the full PC release is unlocked because 30 fps may be a deal breaker for me. Admittedly though some games are more playable than others at 30 fps, unfortunately didn't get into the beta so I don't know what it plays like.
Every car in AC is so unique and feels so natural that it's genuinely exciting when we see something new. I look forward to testing this and the eagle eyed will have spotted it racing round an as yet unreleased Spa.
Is 3 cars enough for a pack? Is £1 per car worth it? Hmm it feels like 5-6 would have made for a better selection, I hope to test these out next week.
Just a simply good bye fix then. Now the focus on GT7, lets hope we see that in late 2015, though 2016 still looks more likely.
Yes I'm sure we'll see wet weather tyres implemented on a later build, either way it looks stunning so far and I look forward to testing wet conditions more when they improve the frame rate for triple screens.
