The Crew 2 open beta starts next week

Martin Bigg On June 12, 2018

If you missed out on the closed beta for The Crew 2 last week, we have good news for you. At Ubisoft's E3 2018 conference, Ivory Tower's Brand Director Delphine Dosset took to the stage to announce the release date of The Crew 2's open beta, allowing players to experience the first few hours of the game. Accessible to all players for free on PS4, Xbox One and PC, the open beta launches June 21st and will run until June 25th. To save time, players can also preload the beta ahead of launch.

There will be plenty of surprises for returning players who took part in the closed beta, too. During the open beta, players will be able to unlock a new “Popular” level cap and unlock eight unique disciplines. In addition to the Street Race, Powerboat Rally Raid and Aerobatics disciplines that were available in the closed beta, the open beta will also include Touring Car, Drift, Motocross and Jetsprint.  The game's full vehicle roster will be unlocked, and customsiation options will also be available in the beta. You will also be able to explore the game's entire U.S. map with no restrictions.

All participants in The Crew 2 open beta will unlock an exclusive gold helmet to customise your character in the final game.

To celebrate The Crew 2's imminent launch later this month and to announce the open beta date, a new trailer for the game was also released showcasing the game's incredible scale and variety of vehicle classes. The Crew 2 hits the road on PS4, Xbox One and PC on June 29th. Preordering the Motor Edition gives you early access to the game on June 22nd.
