Project CARS 2 may be several months away from the current “late 2017” release window, however that hasn't stopped developer Slightly Mad Studios from releasing a gameplay video.
The gameplay video (seen below) puts us in the cockpit of the absolutely iconic Jaguar XJR 9 Prototype as it screams around the famous Long Beach Grand Prix Circuit (which was only just teased in multiple screenshots recently).

The viewpoint puts you fairly close to the windscreen (although admittedly it doesn't look like this car has one installed yet) which gives you a great level of visibility and makes it feel like you're actually sitting in the car (something that many games still get wrong today).
Clearly the Jaguar XJR-9 is a handful especially on the wet Long Beach track which is packed full of trackside detail which really brings the location to life. Technically you will see judders and frame drops as the title is still under going optimisation, but at this early stage I think Project CARS 2 is shaping up well.
We'll have more on Project CARS 2 very shortly.
