iRacing.com has confirmed the latest track it'll be laser scanning for its subscription-based PC sim title – the legendary Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
According to the official statement, two of the tracks located at the fabled racing venue – the full Grand Prix circuit, and the shorter Junior complex – will eventually be featured in the title.
“This is great news for iRacing and iRacers everywhere,” said Steve Myers, iRacing.com executive vice president and executive producer. “Monza is hallowed ground, synonymous with motorsports around the world. The marriage of such an historic facility with one of the newest form of motorsports is a natural partnership, one that will enable new generations of racers the world over to face the challenges of this legendary circuit.”
Whilst no estimated release dates for iRacing's Monza were mentioned in the announcement, it has been confirmed that the PC sim's laser scanners and photographers will be heading off to the cradle of Italian motorsport in the coming months.
