The first ever previews of Project CARS on the PS4 have been officially revealed by Slightly Mad Studios and PlayStation Europe.
Appearing on the latest PlayStation EU Blog entry, the PS4 Project CARS images were described by post author and Slightly Mad's creative director Andy Tudor as "fantastic" and "definitely something you want to show off to your friends when they visit".
Unsurprisingly, given the PS4's architecture is highly similar to that of a dedicated gaming PC, Project CARS on the console appears to be visually identical to the PC version (which is currently in the pre-alpha development phase).
Tudor also used the PS Blog to discuss Slightly Mad's aims for Project CARS to be as authentic and as realistic as possible – whether it be for the visuals, the physics and the sound effects – and explaining the benefits of hiring experienced motor racing talents like Ben "The Stig" Collins, Nicolas Hamilton and Oli Webb to ensure the characteristics of each track in the game are identical to their real life counterparts.
More 'Project CARS on PS4' posts on the PlayStation EU Blog were confirmed to be in the pipelines, with one set to go further into detail on how Sony's Project Morpheus VR headset will be integrated into the title
