News concerning Kunos Simulazioni's upcoming PC racing sim Assetto Corsa has been sparse as of late, but details surrounding the car list are slowly starting to emerge.
BMW are the latest manufacturer to sign up, although so far only the BMW Series 1 M Coupe has been confirmed in a slew of new screenshots shown in our gallery below. Several BMW race cars are said to be included in the future, however.
Kunos Simulazioni were keen to include BMW from an early stage "because their cars have exemplary balance and handling" and are "the perfect vehicles to demonstrate the quality of our new simulation technology."
While the car models look good but not mind-blowing at this stage of development, the detail on the dashboards showcase Asseto Corsa's potential graphical prowess in glorious DirectX 11. Don't forget Assetto Corsa will be moddable too, so expect the community to condure up some insanely detailed car models.
It's a shame the developers are being so tight lipped over Assetto Corsa - only a handful of cars have been announced thus far, along with licenses for Magione, Monza, Imola and Silverstone. Hopefully some gameplay videos of Assetto Corsa in action won't be too long in coming.
I can't wait for a Assetto Corsa demo.
I think these screens look really good, perhaps not as stunning as previous screenshots however the BMW still looks very damn good and the interior picture are excellent.
The Kunos Simulazioni team is tiny yet they produce fantastic simulators with highly realistic physics and the best FFB around. FVA 2K10 proved it is possible to create a sim with pretty graphics and sublime physics.
The dashboard looks fantastic, exterior shots wtill need some work on Lighting though, it feels out of place. But enough screen shots, we need some videos and some hands on action, I look forward to getting on there.
I'll look forward to it and for once I'm not bothered wether its DLC or not because in terms of racing sims, Assetto Corsa is definitely more friendly on your pocket - free multiplayer etc. I hope that doesn't change when it leaves early access.
Its nice to see that they're not using lens flare, it really annoys me when its used in cockpit view because cockpit view is often for a more realistic driving experience yet it can be ruined by lens flare which is an effect only present on lenses (unsurprisingly). *ehem* Next Car Game *ehem*.
Yes this certainly has huge potential and mixing bikes with cars could be a good thing in terms of investment. Bike games have often been a mixed bag in terms of reception, so perhaps we'll see some bikes in GT7 and then if that works out, a full blown Tourist Trophy 2 further down the line.
I'm not going to get my hopes up because there have been too many rumors for far to long. But after GT6 the only thing that would make me buy another GT title would be the addition of bikes (and a good selection of those at that).
In regards to Tourist Trophy, that game still holds up today. Not perfect (bikes a tad to floatly) but over all it gave me the closest sense of how it feels to...
once upon time I use to buy multiple copies of Milestone titles (PS3, PC, Euro and US versions) but not anymore. Why try to support a company that doesn't care about it's customers. Can't say that MotoGP 14 was a disappointment because it was about as good as expected and that's not saying much. Same issues as always......A LACK OF EFFORT. and as such after 4 laps I just put the game away....
