The blog once again gives us an upcoming look at future developments for rFactor 2 and this month the focus is very much on DirectX 11 support. According to the development team, the last couple of weeks has been spent ensuring DirectX 11 compatibility with existing content.
The development team are currently further improving the HDR output rendering method and have released some new screen shots which give us a good look at the visual improvements found using the DirectX 11 tech.
Aside from DirectX 11, Studio 397 are also busy with VR implementation and have confirmed that the first stage of development is in process. During this initial first stage the focus is the in-car driver experience with both the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive. The second development stage will see the development team “delve deeper” into the environmental capabilities of the VR experience, which Studio 397 will share more on over the next couple of months.
