Intergalactic Road Warriors on hold, mobile version coming

Kevin Dooley On February 13, 2017

Indie development studio TurtleBlaze has recently announced that they have put their 2D side scrolling racer Intergalactic Road Warriors on hold.

No doubt this was due to financial issues that the development team has been experiencing largely thanks to not being able to secure a publisher.

Fear not though, TurtleBlaze are partnering up with Lucky Kat Studios to bring the game to iOS and Android devices. The mobile version will go by the more basic name of “Road Warriors”, and is due for release some time this Summer.

The indie team has stated that they “won't be touching the Steam version of the game for a while”. Hopefully TurtleBeach can secure enough funds via the mobile version to bring development for Intergalactic Road Warriors back into motion.

Intergalactic Road Warriors is a mix between Mario Kart, the original Sonic the Hedgehog games and Mad Max. You can race with up to three friends or bots and several powerups are included. You can purchase the Early Access version of Intergalactic Road Warriors on Steam for £5.99.
