Our Review
Summary
DriveClub Bikes is an excellent expansion that puts the fun back into bike racing games. For DriveClub devotees, it’s a brand new experience and an exhilarating ride, but the amount of content bundled in the package makes it equally enticing as a standalone game for bike racing fans new to DriveClub. Not only is DriveClub Bikes one of the best surprises of 2015, it’s easily the best bike game in years – not a bad achievement for a car racing game add-on.

DriveClub’s launch has been a colossal car crash, to put it politely. Nearly three weeks on, and after all the hype and a year-long delay that meant it missed the PS4’s launch party, we’re still left picking up the pieces from the wreckage as the online component still isn’t working as intended. It also makes […]
FeaturesOver two weeks have passed since DriveClub launched off the line, only to stall spectacularly. At the timing of writing, the online features are still far from fully functional. Things have since improved, but the servers still aren't exactly stable – less than ideal considering the online clubs aspect is a core component of the […]
NewsThe DriveClub server debacle has certainly been a hot topic in the gaming industry as of late. It had already been a long and bumpy road with the year-long delay, so the disasterous launch of constant connection issues was the last thing Evolution Studios needed. Thankfully, there now appears to be light at the end […]
NewsAnother day, another day of despair for disgruntled DriveClub players eager to create their clubs and get stuck into racing online, as its online server woes continue to prevent it being played how it was intended for the majority. Mercifully, however, in the latest of Evolution's daily updates on the situation, things appear to be […]
NewsDriveClub's on-going server issues have been driving its patient PS4 players around the bend lately, having been plagued with constant connection woes since its belated launch last week. Not exactly ideal, considering its online social features are supposed to be among its main selling points. Evolution Studios have been working tirelessly to resolve these crippling […]
NewsDriveClub's dedicated servers are already running at their maximum capacity, developer Evolution Studios has confirmed. Even though the PS4-exclusive racing game is only available at time of writing in North America, DriveClub's online servers are already – according to an announcement on the title's official Facebook page – "hitting their performance limits". The announcement also […]
NewsOh dear. It's safe to say the long-delayed DriveClub hasn't exactly got off to a flying start. It finally launched yesterday in the US and today in Europe nearly a year after its original target release date, but early review scores have been across the board (we're still waiting for a review copy to deliver […]
Newsit feels like an eternity since we first reported on DriveClub during its unveiling at E3 2013, but the wait is now nearly over. DriveClub is literally around the corner, launching on October 7th in the US, October 8th in Europe and October 10th in the UK, which will come as a huge relief for […]
NewsIn the run-up to its release next week, Sony has confirmed which wheels will be compatible with DriveClub. Suffice to say, it's a paltry list that pales in comparison to Project CARS' lengthy list, although don't forget it's available for multiple platforms. In essence, if you don't own the latest Thrustmaster peripherals, you're out of […]
NewsBuying games used to be so simple: remember when you only had one definitive edition choose from with a new release? Do you stick with the standard edition or succumb to the special edition with its enticing exclusive artwork and gratuitous goodies? Or perhaps some retailers are offering retail-speicific exclusive pre-order DLC incentives? More often […]
NewsWith less than a month to go until the highly-anticipated DriveClub roars onto PS4, Game Director Paul Rustchynsky took to Twitter to reveal one of the most frequent fan-requests: the car list. Revealed in full, DriveClub's car list spans a number of different classes, ranging from humble hot hatches such as the Mini John Cooper Works GP, […]
NewsIf you're a racing game fan pining over buying a PS4, chances are you've been holding off until the release of Evolution's long-delayed DriveClub, the console's first party exclusive racer that was originally due to race off the line at launch last November. Well, Sony has you in mind, with the announcement of two PS4 […]

As stated in the official announcement, the two-door high performance sports car will be making its inaugural racing game appearance in the PS4-exclusive title, via a post-launch update. Mercedes-Benz hasn't cited a precise release date for the AMG […]
NewsIf we're being honest, DriveClub's showing at last year's Gamescom was a tad underwhelming. For all its promises of taking visuals to the next level, it clearly wasn't close to being finished despite being only months away from release at the time, and the driving experience left a lot to be desired. Fast forward one […]
NewsAfter being curiously absent at E3 this year, the long-delayed DriveClub had a star showing at Gamescom, as members of Evolution Studios took to the stage in a live demonstration of its integral club social mechanics. New details were also announced on the role of the DriveClub companion app, which can be used to keep […]

NewsLast year, DriveClub was set to be one of the PS4's key launch titles. As we know, this didn't happen, and the social-centric racer has since been rescheduled to race off the line this October – nearly a year after its original planned release. But what if you don't yet own a PS4? Or you […]
NewsMove over Forza Horizon 2: DriveClub can do fancy rain effects too, y'know. Or at least that's the message I'm imaginging Evolution muttering to themselves when they cobbled together this assortment of DriveClub E3 screenshots showcasing some ravishing rain effects in DriveClub. We've seen plenty of arresting day and night transitions and ridiculously realistic cloud […]
NewsMuch has been made of DriveClub's visual prowess. However, this new tasty trailer tries to convince you that it sounds just as good as it looks. Let's be honest: so many racing games fail miserably when it comes to replicating ear-splitting engine sounds. Gran Turismo, for example, frequently fails to deliver in the audio department […]
NewsBack in November, Evolution Studios started to release some teasingly short snippets of raw DriveClub gameplay footage, with the promise of showing a full race gameplay video soon after. Unfortunately, numerous delays and other setbacks meant this never happened. Fast forward six months later, and DriveClub's marketing campaign is getting back up to speed with […]
NewsDriveClub just can't seem to steer away from controversy. It's the news everyone didn't want to hear: as is a running trend with contemporary console racing games, DriveClub will feature the dreaded 'm' word…micro-transactions. But before you start condemning Evolution Studios, it's not quite the criminal act that an abundance of free-to-play games have adopted […]
NewsDriveClub may have set the visual bar for PS4 racing games, (at least until Project CARS pulls alongside it), but ask someone how its social club racing premise sets it apart, and they'll most likely stare at you blankly with bewilderment. A new series of videos explaisn exactly how DriveClub works to create an altogether […]
