The Forza Horizon 4 demo was released yesterday, came as bit of a surprise but what did you guys think? Personally I found it a hugely impressive introduction to this gaming world and I was impressed by the scale and freedom of the demo. Alas on the negative side it kinda ruined the content I had prepared for the preview which is now not worth putting up. But I did put together this comparison video showing off the performance mode on Xbox One X.
13/09/2018 at 11:07 pm #42752The quality mode on a decent 4K tv is truly stunning to behold but the 60FPS mode even though it looks no where near as good feels so much more responsive and better to play.
It’s a tough choice which one to choose but it’s a great choice to have.
The demo itself was awesome and i think this game will set crazy high standards for open world racers.13/09/2018 at 11:34 pm #4275414/09/2018 at 12:13 am #42757Maybe it’s because i have such a big tv that the difference really stood out between the 2 as i suspect its harder to notice on smaller screens.
The resolution increase and lack of shimmering on quality mode was far superior as was fine details on the cars buildings vegetation etc…
Everything just looked so much sharper and cleaner.
It really stood out to me but 1080p mode still looks greatA few pics i took of this stunning looking game @Colteastwood @BeastFireTimdog @Xbox #ForzaHorizon4 pic.twitter.com/JlDRGK13ij

14/09/2018 at 12:55 am #42760I’ll definitely check it out in 4k, though I always prefer frame rate over resolution. Will spend a bit more time on the demo over the weekend.
EDIT: Just uploaded another comparison video.

16/09/2018 at 2:39 pm #42968I tried the demo on PC too. That game is optimised by wizards. I’m on a gaming laptop and it defaulted to Ultra settings – running at around 144hz. Technically incredible and I really enjoyed the gameplay so far too. Looking forward to release day!
