There are a whole bunch of racing games coming out that share a retro inspiration, which ones are you most enjoying or looking forward to?
Horizon Chase Turbo
Grip
Slipstream
Dangerous Driving
To list a few. Is the arcade genre struggling? What retro inspired titles have you enjoyed recently?
Slipstream also enjoys a very cool soundtrack.
I really enjoyed playing Mantis Burn Racing thanks to its immensely satisfying drifting. It was a massive shame that it only had two environments at launch so I’d love to see a sequel which adds at least a couple more. The career mode was surprisingly long and ticking off all the requirements was more fun than it should have been!
I thought Horizon Chase was a fun game. I really need to take a look at Slipstream, that looks great.
This is the game I’m really looking forward to though: Racing Apex!
Yes looking forward to a hands-on this one, had mixed impressions on the handling so far, mainly because it handles more like ridge racer than Virtua Racing.
