We once again get access to a preview version of Need for Speed mere days before its final release and give it a spin in part 1 of our preview.

We are first greeted with a scene at a party where we catch a brief glimpse of all of the game's icons who have a heavy presence in the Need for Speed reboot. After we buy our first car it's off to the streets.

We enter a couple quick sprint races and straight away we are hit with the beauty of the game's lighting and reflections, this is one very pretty game indeed, giving the likes of Driveclub a run for its money even. The draw distance too is very impressive and we can see for miles ahead as we cross the visually stunning bridges found within the game.

After some races we head over to the garage and have a look at the plethora of customisation options on offer. After experimenting with some paint and stickers we bring up the map of Ventura which, although not being particularly big, is packed with content so you should never be short of something to do.

Heading back out then, we go for a cruise around town to soak up the environment and atmosphere. You really do get a vibe of driving late at night when not many people are around so you can really put the pedal to the metal which gives a feeling of satisfaction.

Night breaks into dawn and we get a rough look of how bright the game will ever get as the game is blanketed in a bluish hue. With the dawn comes more traffic to add to the feeling of a real place which is very effective indeed.

Need for Speed will release for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles on November 3 with a PC version to follow in Spring, 2016. You can view the first part of our extended preview of Need for Speed below.
