Wreckfest has been one of the those games that we have been looking forward to playing for a very, very long time. Updates have been few and far between, but that looks set to change thanks to a new announcement today.
THQ Nordic and Bugbear Entertainment has today announced they will do all they can to release the destruction-focused game in 2017 on the PC with the console versions to follow shortly after in early 2018.
To accompany the announcement, a new trailer was of course released which gives us a great look at some crazy looking action complete with insane levels of car body deformation, check it out below.
Wreckfest, currently in Steam’s Early Access program, is going to receive a number of updates in the following months, according to the development team, which follows including these features:
The career mode: By achieving victories, players can get access to more and better cars and upgrade them with various parts
Car customization: A complex system, allowing the players to fully customize their cars for their individual needs, like more armor to withstand the competitors or more powerful engines
More cars, more tracks: THQ Nordic and Bugbear Entertainment will make sure a constant flow of additional content will be added on a regular basis for the remaining months of the Early Access program
New multiplayer server: To guarantee an outstanding racing and wrecking experience, an Official Wreckfest Server will be opened
