Kylotonn Games took over the official rally game reigns from Milestone some years ago.
Their fourth rally game, WRC 8, is scheduled to launch this September. Despite being some months off, the development team are confident enough with their product that they are hosting a live stream of their upcoming racer this Thursday, March 14.
The live stream will take place on the official WRC game facebook page and will give fans a chance to learn more about WRC 8 as well as ask their questions to the development team. The stream will start at 6:30 pm CET/ 5:30pm GMT so set your reminders now.
After two years development time, WRC 8 will release in September 2019 across the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Switch.
WRC 8 boasts 50 teams, 14 rallies (countries) and more than 100 special stages from the 2019 season making it the biggest off-road racing game ever.
The officially licensed rally series has a clear focus on authenticity: the title will feature new off-road physics across its range of different surface types as well as a new dynamic weather system featuring rain, hail, and snow.
The road surfaces in WRC 8 will undergo changing levels of grip as the rally progresses making tyre choice particularly important.
The career mode will also see much-needed attention this time around. You’ll need to manage your schedule and activities between rallies, dilly-dally in research and development to improve your cars, as well as recruit and manage staff members across several sectors including mechanical, engineering, medical, finance, and more.
WRC 8’s multiplayer component will see the return of weekly challenges and the eSports WRC competition as expected.
