WRC 5, the very latest offering in the long-running WRC series, was officially released today worldwide.
WRC 5 was developed by Kylotonn Games after they secured the official WRC license from Milestone who developed the first four games in the series (although it's possible Milestone will make a bid for the license in the future). WRC 5 features 65 different special stages, that's 5 stages each for every one of the 13 different rounds.
You'll have the option to step into the boots of anyone of the 51 official drivers on offer including the likes of Robert Kubica, Kris Meeke and Sebastien Ogier. Kylotonn have also included potential future stars from the WRC 2 and FIA Junior WRC categories. You can check out the newly released launch trailer below.
WRC 5 of course features a hefty career mode, and much like its predecessors, you'll start off in the junior WRC class and work your way up to the full WRC championship. WRC 5 players will also be able to compete online in an eSports championship which takes place alongside every round of the real 2016 WRC season, beginning in January next year.
WRC 5 is now available for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, PlayStation Vita and PC platforms. You can view our first impressions of the PC version of WRC 5 below and we've got lots more content coming up shortly so stay tuned for that.
