News WRC 4 trailer showcases new lighting and weather effects

Milestone have been a little on the quiet side when it comes to official WRC 4 gameplay videos lately, opting to tantalise us with brief snippets of action that highlight the improved environments, graphics and physics.
This latest short but sweet gameplay trailer gives us a first glimpse of WRC 4's the new lighting and weather effects – arguably one of te most most notable additions since WRC 3.
To showcase the effects, we once again get to see the Volkswagen Polo R WRC dancing round various the various trecherous locations as the stage transitions from dawn, to noon and finally dusk which, coupled with WRC 4's new weather condition effects, add new challenges to the otherwise familiar stages. Night time stages are conspiciously absent, however.

Admittedly, the addition of weather and day and night cycles isn't particularly revolutionary for the genre, but it's a welcome step forward for Milestone's WRC nonetheless – even if it's an arguably belated addition.
The improved graphical detail is further showcased in a new batch of official screenshots depicting all of the announced WRC cars shown so far in their new 2013 liveries, which you can see below.
