Just 13 days remain at the time of writing before Milestone release WRC 4, and while you've no doubt been keeping tabs and making judgments on our extensive preview coverage, you'll soon be able to get your own hands-on in an upcoming playable demo to make up your own minds.
Releasing on PSN for both PS3 and PS Vita and XBLA next Wednesday October 16th (no word yet on a PC release, sadly), the demo will feature a single rally stage at the Rally D'italia Sardegna in Italy where you'll get to drive as Sébastien Ogier in his Volkswagen Polo R.
Sardinia has hosted Italy’s FIA World Rally Championship counter since its switch from the mainland in 2004, and is often heralded as one of the most challenging courses on the calendar with its high speed narrow sections and frequent terrain changes which should make for a thoroughly demanding drive and hopefully a good showcase of WRC 4's myriad of improvements.
To mark the event, a fresh batch of spiffy screenshots have been released to showcase the course in all its glory, and while it's clear that WRC 4 won't look quite as high res on the consoles as the screenshots depict, they at least highlight the improved textures and car models on display.
Keep checking back on our YouTube channel and this very website where we'll be putting WRC 4 through its paces as it gears up for its release on October 25th.
