We take a look at MXGP 2's first person viewpoint in a race at Leon, Mexico running on the PlayStation 4 console.
The action starts off somewhat clunky as the viewpoint changes into the first person view at the off which threw us off the start as we couldn't really see the starting gates. Overall we felt the first person viewpoint lacked a feeling of raw speed.
Perhaps adding a more shaky camera much like you'd find in the likes of Driveclub would've helped portray a sense of speed and danger and the feeling that you are racing on a fairly rough dirt surface. The first-person view did give us a good sense of being up high in the air and the view made the action generally more exciting and tense.
