By now you'll have hopefully digested all the details on DriveClub's Downforce DLC pack, which adds five more cars to the ever-growing roster. But what about this month's freebie?
Of course, it's also traditional to receive an exotic free car that only the geekiest of petrolheads will appreciate. And this month is no exception: say hello to the VUHL 05, an obscure lightweight sports car which will be available to download free of charge this month.
The VUHL 05 is the creation of two Mexican brothers, a lightweight track car designed to rival the likes of the Arial Atom, KTM X-Bow and BAC Mono – all of which which are incidentally also playable in DriveClub.
It's equipped with the same 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo engine you get in a Ford Focus ST delivering 285 horsepower, with a ultra-light, aluminium monocoque chassis that gives it an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 400bhp per tonne. This translates to 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 152mph. While the Arial Atom won't have anything to worry about, its lack of windscreen can still potentially rearrange your facial features.
Evolution have been on a roll lately: once again, this month's free car marks another racing game debut for DriveClub. Kudos to Evolution's for finding cars rarely seen in racing games and giving extra exposure to lesser-known manufacturers.
