Touring Karts is a kart racer scheduled to launch across the PlayStation VR, Vive, Oculus Rift, and WMR in VR form, and across mobile, PC, PlayStation 4, and Switch platforms in non-VR form before the end of the year.
The title will feature four different viewpoints ranging from full VR immersion to a comfort mode which eliminates any motion sickness. Besides the usual handheld controllers and racing wheels, Touring Karts also supports the 3dRudder – a foot controller which promises “full freedom of motion” to enhance your gaming experience.
Developer Ivanovich Games has released a gameplay trailer for Touring Karts giving us a quick look at the various viewpoints in action, check it out below.
The action plays out across the title’s 22 tracks and players will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of 30 customisable karts, the tracks and karts are inspired by real-world tracks and teams according to the developer.
No self-respecting kart racer would be complete without the addition of powerups, Touring Karts doesn’t disappoint in this area, fortunately. As a matter of fact, powerups can actually be merged together to create a new kind of powerup, and with a healthy library of powerups (I counted 43), there’s bound to be some that you will enjoy.
We’ll have more on Touring Karts as we get closer to its launch later in the year.
